Mission of the Agricultural Department
"The Agricultural Department is the 'eyes, ears and mouth' of the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and is ready to fulfil its role as liaison between the Netherlands and Romania/Bulgaria/Greece in the public sector as well as in the private sector"
Objectives of the Agricultural Department
The Agricultural Department in Bucharest was set up in October 1998 and has several tasks in the field of agriculture, food and nature. Generally, these tasks can be divided in three main and interlinked objectives:

To strengthen the bilateral relations and co-operation between the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the authorities for the same field of policies in the three countries mentioned. |
II. |
To facilitate and assist Dutch companies in the agri-food sector, (which want to become) active on the Romanian, Bulgarian or Greek markets either in trade or in doing investments. |
III. |
To support Bulgaria and Romania in the process of adjusting to EU requirements in the field of agriculture, nature and food quality. |
